First approach

The first day of class we were asked to build our own definition of school guidance and counselling in order to see what was our previous knowledge about the subject.
My definition was: "the discipline which will help us to identify and to deal with educational and learning problems an how to work as teachers with our pupils and their parents". Afterwards, the teacher asked us to get in pairs and then compare our definitions and redo a new one. Once we had it, we did the same with other pair and, finally, we had the final definition that was: "A set of tools that help us to identify and deal with educational and learning problems whose aim is to guide a class which is composed of different kind of children." Eventually, all the groups share the definitions and we choose the following key words: counselling, identify problems, solve, context, tools, guidance, "diversity", "tutorizing" and educational objectives.0
